Some comments about the Corliss Park knife
I know it’s not really funny and
could jeopardize the case against at least three guys who are charged with
killing another guy and two girls who allegedly lured him to the Corliss Park
apartments so the other four guys could rob him.
I know I said three and then four
but one guy was let out of jail for lack of evidence but was initially charged
with second degree murder along with the rest. Sounds to me he may be a key
witness against the other three.
Anyway, as you all know, the murderweapon, a bloody knife, was found under a bed Monday by the resident who lived
in the same apartment as where the murder took place a full week after the
stabbing. And it was found by the mom of one of the girls and who lives in the
apartment and is charged with conspiracy.
I don’t know what happened. The
knife could have been planted there by someone after the police pulled out or
the police could have missed it. One way or another, the comments I’m getting
on another post – which I will publish on that post and copy and paste here too
– are just too funny not to share.
It’s nothing personal against any
police officer and I do hope whoever is (are) responsible for ending a life at
the tender age of 21 is (are) held responsible but police are easy targets. So
is the media and believe you me I’ve taken my share of lumps over the years.
Some comments:
- We asked the guy laying on the floor if there was
anything under the bed but he didn’t say anything was there so we took his word
for it.
- In all fairness ot the Try PBA that were at
Corliss Park the knife was not clearly visible, it was behind 8 pounds of pot 3
lids of Tibetan Finger Hash, A Troy recycling bin full of crack and James F.
Hoffa. Way to go boys.
- If someone hid overtime o donuts under a bed the
cops would have found it. Good job Fitzy and flock. Maybe the THA should put
cameras under beds now.
- Lou tell that cop that sleeps in the hall at
City Hall that even the Pope knows when it’s time to go.
- And one that wasn’t posted but texted to me: If
there was overtime under the bed they would have found it.

This is the first test of the new Commissioner. Someone should be severly disciplined. How could a team of detectives fail to look under the bed. The entire detective division should be overhauled.

The Troy PBA is really stepping thing up know. I just saw them questioning the four bears on the front porch about what happend and if they have any more leads.
The truth is most of the investigators are too fat to bend over and check under the bed,,,it's a shame Fitzgerald gets his way and theses cops retire to $100,000 a year and us tax payer get the bill while most them don't live in our city, i didn't know the Deputy-mayor had 2 sons did anyone check to see if one of the cops at the Corliss park investigation was a son of the Deputy mayor he maybe the one who scored a 65 on the test and the Deputy mayor moved him up a notch or two wouldn't surprise anyone seeing how corrupt our city is it's truly a black eye to LOU and his administration I will not vote for LOU or another democrat again

Fitz said at last weeks council meeting that the murder was solved with good old fashioned police work...I guess that ment they were all on overtime.

Poor job by the TPD- no way around this one. I will not bash them however as (for the most part) they are dedicated great officers and investigators. It's a shame however that the prople of Troy will lose a commissioner who kept overtime and spending in check for a city that is in desperate need of keeping a responsible budget.
I just want to say does anyone really think the cops missed a MURDER weapon under the bed in the same house the murder occurred which the police occupied and searched for evidence for 3 days, there is no way they missed that, an infant could have found that, not even looking for it.........sounds like someone planted it there!!!! They used the bid. They had to put 4 days of pizza boxes from the camper in it. The pizza delivery man spent more time at Corliss Park than the Evidence Tecnition person did.
Return the bid??? Are you out of your mind??? There where at least 7 or 8 cops at the pizza party in the camper. We need that to use as another seat.
Troy PBA will have a press conference on Monday at the entrance to Corliss park to reveal there 4 day investigation held in the camper at Corliss park. Rumor has it that Testos will be revealed as having the best crust but Jimmy's had the best delivery time. Meatball results will be in after toxicology reports gets back next week.
2:22 -go back to the 80's, the murder on Grand St. Cop tells the Coroner that the guy died of natural causes, Coroner rolls body over, neck is cut.
Logical thought that the knife was planted, but lets see.

That page is far from perfect, but you get more truth htere than you do on this blog and the tailspin column. these posts are funny. but do you know what is even funnier, that all you morons on this post actually believe this knife was there in the crime scene all along and that the mother of the girls, the same girls who lured this kid to his bloody death with sex, just happened to stumble upon the knife under the bed one week after the murder....yeah right. i cant wait for it to come out about how (and when) that knife actually got there.

All the democrats are awful tight lipped over this embarrassing episode. They can't blame Tedesco because he was out of town when it happened. Where is Ms. Nichols? Why isn't she calling for answers? And what about the PBA, all red faced and flustered after publicly bragging about their good police work solving the murder.

Heard in the police station that Tedesco wanted diciplinary action but was talked out of it by McAvoy......wonder why, who lives next door to McAvoy?
Here's something to blog about mr franco. how about writing something about all the new jobs being created. Commish, Vacant Building Coordinator, Czar of Composting, Historian -and I understand that it's in the Charter. It would seem that all these positions will eventually add up to a tax increase. What's next, Commissioner of Ice at the rinks? Lord of the Sewers? Director of Cobblestone. This all needs to stop. People are so blind in their support of a political party, that apparently, they are not looking at the long term picture here. I wasn't a big fan of the last mayor, but at least he cut non essential positions, and didn't make up jobs --plus, the streets were cleaner, and code enforcement was not selective in who was written up.
within two hours of the murder the detectives had the suspects in custody, Yet you asses would rather complain about the weapon not being found. I personally would like the suspects caught before I worry about the weapon. They did a good job and if there was a mistake it doesn't change the fact that a man is dead and the suspects are in custody.

@7:11 what does it matter if the weapon not being found vs catching the murders you ask. What are the chances of a conviction.......Being on trial having the police be the ones that found the knife or being on trial and having the murder weapon found 8 days later by the mother of someone charged in the case. what do you think the chances are of a murder conviction here. A good defense attorney will rip this case apart...and the police at the scene. This will be a big factor in the case and some lawyer would only be too willing to take this case on...maybe Coleman or Coffey. If the facts are as they are being stated they DID NOT do a good job....they did not do their very well in this case. I have alot of respect for the Police and what they face everyday on the streets but in this case someone screwed up....royally!!!! I just hope this doesn't compromise the cae and all works out well for the family of the victim and justice is served for them.
Correction within 2 hours after Dan showed up at the crime with his I phone and his tape from his camera then the suspect where caught thus giving the PBA a 4 day vacation in there camper at one of Troys famous parks.

Someone needs to say Thank You to Dan Crawley and Tenn Chen for having the insight, leadership and the skills to get a camera system in place up there. Without their good work the detectives would be sitting around on their asses bashing the chief and looking for clues on facebook.

I wasn't at the dinner, but heard plenty. Mike LoPorto has always been a class act, and for the life of me cannot figure out why he would align himself with with these characters. From what I've heard, Riley was way out of line with his comments. Being the mayor was there, who lost a daughter to cancer by the way, he showed a total lack of respect for Lou, and anyone else there who has been effected by cancer with his immature and childish remarks. If I were him, I'd be more worried about his postal union members, and less about politicians and bring doughnuts to city hall. Certain women there obviously do not need any more.
