I'm not going to say too much about this since I'll be writting my column on it for Thursday but it's pretty big news so here is a link to what we have up online so far and I'll update it when I can.
Here's what I wrote about voter fraud. After more than two years, the scandal suddenly became very real for a number of people and I think Trey Smith sent a pretty solid message - work with him and take your licks and you'll be OK. Fight him or the investigation, and if you did something wrong odds are you're going to see some jail time.

The Troy Police Beneolvent Association has endorsed Democratic Councilman John Brown for re-election. Brown is seeking a second two-year term on the Troy City Council as an at-large councilman.

Troy, New York (October 7, 2009)- Members of the Troy Police Officers Union (PBA) recently voted to endorse City Councilman At-large John Brown for re-election. At their September meeting PBA members comprised of patrol officers and sergeants overwhelmingly voted in support of Brown.
PBA President Bob Fitzgerald added, “The men and women of the Troy PBA work hard for the people of Troy and are looking for legislators who will work as hard as they do. John Brown has fought for Troy residents and public safety for the last two years. Our members said, “Let’s keep him there to continue the job.”

You people are joking about this, but it really is not funny. This was one of the most corrupt conspiracy's I've ever seen locally in my 6 decades on this earth. Thank God I'm not involved with politics in Troy. It seems that these guys had what I call, Big Shot Syndrome. Only problem is they are all just a bunch of wanna be's, almost like Jr. Soprano's. Some of these hot shots can think about this in jail or home confinement. I laugh whenever I hear one of these big shots call the current mayor corrupt. How do they live with themselves? I guess when you keep telling the same lie over and over,you begin to believe it yourself. I have faith in the integrity of some of the new council members though. But with the specter of voter fraud still lingering, both Guluski, & Kevin McGrath should resign -- in light of the recent guilty plea's, from suspects who claimed they were innocent for the last two years. How can we trust either one of them to make an objective decision when passing an ordinance, resolution, or impacting local law. Guluski's involvement is still not totally clear, but the other guy is in this knuckle deep. I hope the new mayor gets an ethics board together to get rid of McGrath, and restore some trust in our public officials.

"Malicious prosecution" has been a term going through my head for months in relation to McD (Smith had a contentious past with McD's father and should never have been allowed to be S.P.) and Campana, now add LoPorto!! Charges were just dropped for something that never should have been charged from the beginning because there was no evidence! Feit trying to get Grand Jury minutes to see how this could possibly happened, and if it happened once, it can happen over and over again! And here is something for you, I heard from a reliable source that during the arraignments of the 3 and Campana, Trey Smith and the investigators were laughing and joking, as if this was fun for them (how incredibly unprofessional and insensitive they are!!), and joking about how E. Stuart Jones was going to send one of his attorneys (not come himself)- apparently they were surprised when E. Stuart Jones himself walked in. I relish the thought of Jones putting Smith in his place.
